Ozine Fest Anime Figure Special 2017 was held last December 26-27, 2017 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall 2. It is one of the biggest and most attended conventions of the year and one of the last ones to grace 2017.
The hype for the convention was real as there was already a long line by the time that the mall opened. The lines may have been long in the morning but most of the attendees were able to get their tickets and enter the hall by lunch time.
Despite having limited space, there was still enough room for cosplayers to be able to sit down near the maid café. Most of the area was occupied by booths. The stage and the audience area was relatively small but it didn’t stop the con-goers from watching the program on stage having a good time.
The booths were swarmed with attendees and the amazing merchandise were hard to ignore. There were so many goodies up for sale and some of them were too good to pass out on.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was the Anime Singing Contest. The contestants went all out on their performances, exhibiting their contest pieces and the audience sang along and cheered for the contestants. The contest was sort of reminiscent to a idol concert because of the cheers of the audience and the amazing performances of the contestants.
All-in-all, it was a very eventful afternoon as attendees seemed to arrive later in the day. Based from observation, one of the series that was most cosplayed was still Boku No Hero Academia (most of the merchandise were BNHA as well!)
See you all on Otaku Expo 2018: Sketch Edition to be held on February 3-4, 2018 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall 2.
