HoYoFEST 2023 returns again to the Philippines this year as the event took place at a brand new location at the SM Megamall Building A, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, last October 22-29, 2023.
miHoYo or HoYoverse is a CN(China) based video game development and publishing company that brought forth several games to the global market, from its flagship franchise Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and their upcoming game Zenless Zone Zero.
In the previous years, HoYoFEST PH was originally held at Moon Rabbit Cafe & Restaurant at 2 ledesma, San Juan, Metro Manila.
HoYoFEST 23 was an enjoyable and memorable experience as they brought forth tons of different merchandise from all of their series as well as stage and booth activities from their main series with Honkai Impact 3rd having an Elysian Realm test run and an APHO 2 time race event for their stage activity, Honkai: Star Rail have both their booth and stage activity be related to the Simulated Universe run, and Zenless Zone Zero showcasing a free test run over at their booth to name a few of the activities that were available during the one-week event.
We were also fortunate enough to see some of our local PH guest cosplayers during the said event including AC Cosplay cosplaying as Shenhe, Kitz Cua cosplaying as Yunjin, Jane Yu Cosplay cosplaying as Seele Vollerei, and Rei – ?? cosplaying as Luna.
HoYoFEST 23 will not be complete without the cosplayer attendees all dressed up in the different characters from their respective HoYoverse franchises.
Overall, even if the lines were long during the whole week for HoYoFEST 23, it was a memorable and enjoyable event whether you attended just for the merch freebies, cosplaying with your friends, or just checked it out for fun. Surely Hoyofest already left a mark at the community and will always be one of the game events that will be anticipated here in the Philippines on the years to come.
