The Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit by Gariath Concepts for the year 2023 was held at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Philippines, last November 3-5, 2023. It was one of the most anticipated and biggest E-Sports-centered events here in South East Asia.
Having Globe Telecom as this year’s partner once again, another memorable event has been catered to the gaming and E-Sports community. In addition, we have SAMSUNG as their main partner and Platinum sponsor. After a year of their jam-packed comeback from 2022, their 10th-year celebration was a blast for this year’s attendees.
The three-day event went smoothly as well, from the queueing to enter the event and lining up to different booths of game developers, tech brands, and indie developers showcasing their games and applications for the attendees to try and watch out for the release soon.
SEGA is just one of the companies that returned for this year’s event and has showcased 5 games for attendees to try. Setsu-Ani has been given a chance to try Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Persona 3 Reload, and Persona 5 Tactica, which we have prepared a review article in our website.
As for other booths and activities, the team managed to check out the SAMSUNG booth, from their top-of-the-line devices to the different trends they’re showcasing during the event. Rumble Royale was one of the jam-packed areas for the whole three-day event, due to lots of activities the attendees can participate. Attendees can also check out VTuber Ran-kun, who is fun to chat with during the event.
Other tech booths like Fantech had fun games for everyone to join whether you just passed by or visited their booth to check out their items. Ragnarok also had raffles for three days, though you need to be present at specific times if you’re fortunate to win and claim your prize.
Our team encountered an international guest, spicyuu on day three and spotted her at one of our known local artists Sskait, while checking out the Eri Neeman egg plushie.
Overall, the three-day experience of fun and excitement, while being updated with the latest in tech and gaming, at the World Trade Center has been great as we managed to visit most of the booths. See you again next year, ESGS!
