Cosplay.PH has finally brought forth the sixth and year-ender installment of the “Chronicles of Cosmania”, Cosplay Matsuri (CosMatsu) 2024, which was held at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City, Function Rooms 2-5 last December 28-30, 2024.
Let us look at Setsu-Ani’s POV for this awesome three-day year-ender event that Cosplay.PH brought us last week.
The event doors for the SMX convention center were open earlier than anticipated due to the inclement weather at 9:00 A.M. con goers were asked to queue on the second floor of the SMX to avoid getting wet from the rain outside. Entrance to the pass holders is 10:00 A.M. for Titanium Ticket Holders, 10:10 A.M. for Portal Pass Ticket Holders, 10:20 A.M. for Maya Users, and 10:30 A.M. for the Regular Ticket Holders.

Cosplay Matsuri 2024 Event Highlights
Tons of attractions, booths, and stage events were present during the three-day event, including the return of the “Cosplanomicion” freedom wall which was at the center between the All-Star Avenue and MAYA booth, and booths for Phantasy Star Online 2 and Project Sekai to name a few.

We also catch a glimpse of some of the stage events during Day 1 which include the Cosplay Auction, Trivia Game: Dance Renegade, performances from Globie, DayJobU, and YSLA, and on Day 2 which include the Dokuen Cosplay Contest, Maya Segment, Trivia Game: Ano Na Wa, and AnnChan【杏】‘s performance.

Cosplay Matsuri 2024 Special Guest Cosplayer and Cosplayer Attendees
Aside from the simultaneous stage events happening over the three-day event we also got to see Munoko沐子‘s respective Q&A segments during Day 1 and Day 2 and her Meet & Greet session during Day 2 and 3 where she cosplayed Shorekeeper from Wuthering Waves during Day 1 and Fugue and Firefly from Honkai: Star Rail during Days 2 and 3.

CosMatsu ’24 wouldn’t be complete without its Cosplayer Attendees as we spotted some local PH cosplayers roaming at the convention hall, at their respective booths, or at the All-Star Avenue over the three-day event.

Cosplay Carnival 2025 Special and Unexpected Announcements
As CosMatsu ’24 comes to a close, Cosplay.PH has announced their upcoming special guest cosplayer for Cosplay Carnival 2025, Baobao.
Cosplay.PH also dropped an unexpected special announcement with Cosplay Carnival 2025, which will have a JAM Concert during its second day. Special guest artists include Japanese singer and cosplayer, Akari Akase, and Japanese voice actress and singer, Saito Shuka.

Overall, Cosplay Matsuri 2024 was truly a year-ender matsuri that Cosplay.PH has given their attendees a good send-off to their “Chronicles of Cosmania” series cosplayers and convention attendees as another chapter to look back to for years to come.
