Cosplay.PH is back this year as they kick off with this year’s Cosplay Mania Series of Events, “Season of Cosplay” with Cosplay Carnival 2025 “Spring Serenade” last March 22-23, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Halls 1 & 2.
Let us look at Setsu-Ani‘s point of view during this spectacular two-day event Cosplay.PH has brought this to us over the last week.
Event doors officially open at 10:30 AM for both days of the event, with the official start of the stage activities at 1:00 PM.
Cosplay Carnival 2025 Highlights
Cosplay Carnival 2025‘s event halls were packed during both days as this was also the first time in Cosplay.PH‘s history is that they have brought the exclusive Japanese Anime Music (JAM) Concert, usually held during Cosplay Mania. Outside Halls 1 & 2, we can see flower stands for this year’s JAM Concert special guest performers, Akase Akari and Shuka Saito. Tons of fans have also taken a picture with the said flower standees as well as the addition of Marin Kitagawa cosplayers which Akase Akari cosplayed for the music video of “Koi no Yukue” the ending theme song of “My Dress Up Darling” and You Watanabe cosplayers which is the character Shuka Saito voiced in the hit idol show “Love Live! Sunshine” during day 2.

Additional attractions for this year’s CosCarni are Mountain Dew’s booth at the front-center of the event hall and a new photo op booth; “See Zones of Cosplay” which replaces last year’s “Cosplanomicion” freedom wall.
We also caught a glimpse of some of the stage activities from both days, including the VTuber performances of Ecotone and Mihoyana, Cosplay Karaoke, The Big Picture, and the special intermission number by Ivy! Musume.
Cosplay Carnival 2025 Special Guest Cosplayer and All-Star Avenue Line-up
Aside from the spectacular stage events happening throughout the two-day event we also got to see Baobao‘s special Q & A segment during Day 1 where she cosplayed Rapi: Red Hood from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and her exceptional performance during Day 2 where she covered LiSa’s “Homura” Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Movie – Mugen Train’s Theme Song, Ikimono-gakari’s “Blue Bird” and KANA-BOON’s “Silhouette” Naruto Shippuden’s 3rd and 16th opening theme songs respectively while cosplaying as Astra Yao from Zenless Zone Zero.
Of course, CosCarni ’25 wouldn’t be complete without its All-Star Avenue Cosplayer Line-up, as we spotted Zackt. ザックト & Roxanne Kho, Lia Bear, Jane Yu Cosplay & Eri Strawberry いちご, Katiecakey, ZakiNyan & Sowon – 소원, Shifu Cosplay & Carleen – Karin – 花梨, Pomponmy & Kousei – 幸星, as well as Malaysian Cosplayer, KING ANGEL 天王, in their respective booths over the two-day event.
The Early Arrival of the JAM Concert for Cosplay Carnival ’25 with Its Special Guest Performers
Cosplay.PH has brought forth an early gift to their attendees for this year’s Cosplay Carnival as the exclusive Japanese Anime Music (JAM) concert, which is usually held during their fourth and most anticipated event every year, Cosplay Mania, has now been featured on the second day of CosCarni 2025.
Two of our team members, Jersey and Luna, attended the concert as they had purchased the corresponding ticket tier for the JAM Concert. This was also a first for Jersey to be able to attend the said event, as it was a fresh and fun experience for him to see the performances of Ai Dreamin, Akari Akase, and Saito Shuka during the second day of the event later that night. Hearing the live versions of “Koi no Yukue” by Akari Akase and “Papapa” by Shuka Saito gives a more extraordinary and enchanting experience, especially if you have watched and listened to both My Dress-Up Darling’s ending theme and Oresuki’s opening theme song when they were first aired.
Special Announcement for FanFes 2025
As Cosplay Carnival comes to a close, Cosplay.PH has announced its second upcoming event with FanFes 2025 as it returns after its first time during FanFes 2024 over at Halls A, B, C, & D, Space at One Ayala, Makati City on May 17-18, 2025. Alongside the announcement is their special guest cosplayer, making her third return to the Philippines after her last guest appearance during Cosplay Matsuri 2022, Rithe 莉提.
Final Overall Thoughts for Cosplay Carnival 2025
Cosplay.PH brought a very memorable event with their first event of the year with Cosplay Carnival 2025, having brought the usual JAM Concert to their first event was unexpected which all of their cosplayers and convention attendees remember for the first part of their “Seasons of Cosplay” line-up and look back to for years to come.
