Another successful event has kept the weekend lively as we push through the month of September, from Banpresto to Nendoroids figures of all sizes were seen last September 24-25 at Megatrade Hall 3 SM Megamall as we witness Ozine Figure Fest 2022.
This year’s Figure Fest was held at the Megatrade Hall 3 SM Megamall where hundreds of Anime, Manga, and Figure Enthusiast gathered to take part, the hall was jam packed with exhibitors booths, artist alleys, food stalls, and Cosplayer Alleys. While the venue this time around may be just one hall it was still breathable despite the narrow paths, the stage area was spacious and staffs were ready to assist. From Parents, Kids, Teens, and Young Adults everyone had a blast as the day continued on, cosplayers inside and outside of the venue were being accommodated and were having the time of their lives.
The vibrant stage and exhibitor booths brought life to the venue as we witness performances from the community, everyone had a blast as they take on the stage donning their favorite character and shine through the day. Varieties of events were awaiting the community as the event started from Singing Contest, Idol Dance Competitions, Cosplay Catwalks, to the bidding during the Auction; ranges and ranges of talent and skill were seen on stage over the weekends. Vtuber Guests such as Elaine from KOMETA Virtual Live, V Deianira from IKASULIVE, Eeya Mahalia and Mari Tesu from MITO Entertainment.
Tons of exhibitors were showcasing their figures and merchandises throughout the hall, among them were Purple Passion PH and Trinskie.oop, it was a blast to see people enjoy their products and have fun browsing for treasures amongst the venue.
We were able to get a peek at New Gameplus’ (stylized as New Game+) booth meeting Jujuartcosplay as Hanagaki Takemichi from Tokyo Revengers on Day 1 and Sakamoto Ryuji from Persona 5 on Day 2, along with the many talents under the group.
We were also able to meet Katiecakey once more at her booth, we also had the chance to see Aster Coser together with Gebburi as they showcase their prints and art giving extra creativity as the day goes on.
Figures big and small were all over the venue, as well as the tons of people that gathered for the event. Cosplayers inside and outside the venue itself were having the time of their lives as the weekend comes by shortly and a new week begins to creep it’s way, hobbyist and enthusiasts alike start to delve into their own as they circle around the venue and seeing their passion be supported, appreciated, and valued by the community providing a safe space throughout the event. We were also pleased to see ChojiTV at the venue as well, as a fellow media partner covering the event and bringing everyone first hand accounts and experiences of the convention itself to those of us who couldn’t make it.
This Year we got the chance to interview two of the Coplay Community’s rising and well-loved Cosers, it was a privilege getting to feature the both of them on our Youtube Channel. Gracing us with their cosplays and sharing their thoughts on the community, their hobby, and so much more; it has been an amazing experience as we talk about all of those stuff. We want to thank the ever so sweet Lia Bear, who is a gravure model and cosplayer for letting us share her experiences, her thoughts, and her cosplay ventures throughout her career. Some of Lia’s most notable cosplays are Vladilena Milizé from 86 -Eighty Six-, Shizuku-tan from My Dress-up Darling, and Vermeil from Vermeil in Gold. We got to see her as Black Lobelia from My Dress-up Darling on Day 1 and as Yor Forger from SpyXFamily on Day 2.
Another wonderful coser we got to feature is the lovely Jane Yu, she is a rising cosplayer whom has swept everyone from their feet through her cosplays, turning her love for her favorite character into reality as she puts her heart and all in her cosplays. Some of her most notable cosplays would be Yuzuriha Inori from Guilty Crown, Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Emilia-tan from Re:Zero. We got to see Jane as Yor Forger from SpyXFamily on Day 1 and Shizuku-tan (Nurse Version) from My Dress-up Darling on Day 2.
